Inspired by the overwhelming community response to last year’s dance events, we are excited to announce that the Center has partnered with Kypseli Greek Dance Center to bring back a dance class in commemoration of Athan Karras, who for many years was a beloved dance instructor and cherished presence at the Caloyeras Center.

Over five sessions, dancers of all levels — from complete beginners to seasoned veterans — will learn traditional steps from across the Greek regions.

The series will conclude with a glendi open to the community. Come watch a performance by participants, dance yourself if the spirit moves you, and share in traditional Greek food and music as we honor Athan’s legacy.
