Greek Wines create buzz, receive two silver medals!

Magnus Baccata 2009 and Syrah 2007 of Domaine Porto Carras, were awarded with a Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2012!

A total 8,397 wines and spirits from 52 producer countries competed in Portugal from May 6-8, 2012 during the 19th International Competition , before a hand-picked selection of some of the world's foremost tasters. The participating wines were evaluated by a total of 320 sommeliers, buyers, importers and wine critics from 40 countries, while only 42 Greek wines and spirits were awarded!

, the ultimate Greek winery with Greece's largest organic vineyard, competed equally with the giants of the international Wine ry and added two more awards to its long list of distinctions .

Magnus Baccata was launched in September 2010, while with its first appearance at the “11 th International Thessaloniki Wine Competition” it was awarded with its first Gold Medal. Magnus Baccata, a red dry wine, protected Geographical Indication Sithonia , is composed of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, aging in oak French barrels for 12 months with excellent aging potential. The wine has an intense deep red color with rich, mouth feeling texture, complex flavor of forest fruits aromas with sweet spices and chocolate on a background of elegant barrel flavors. and black pepper, balanced tannins and long aftertaste. Richplate with structure, evolving tannins and a long aftertaste.

Syrah 2007 is a red dry wine, protected geographical indication Sithonia , composed of 100% Syrah, a ging in French oak barrels for 24 months. This deep red wine offers a rich bouquet ripe black fruit, spice, leather and smoke notes. Excellent volume in the mouth,   velvety   tannins and   oily palate with long aftertaste. Excellent   aging potential.
